An accomplished academic strategist and entrepreneurial leader, Dr Khaliq Ur Rehman brings over 12 years of profound experience in higher education, organizational development, and research ecosystem design. Currently serving as the Director of ORIC at Grand Asian University Sialkot, he is dedicated to transforming academic knowledge into impactful, market-ready innovations while actively cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among the next generation of student founders.
An active researcher with a global footprint, Dr Rehman has published more than 20 scientific papers in reputable journals, blending international academic rigor with localized industry execution. His professional journey includes impactful tenures at prestigious institutions, including Wuhan University in China and the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Pakistan.
A proven architect of institutional growth, Dr Rehman specializes in building high-performance research infrastructures from the ground up. At UMT, he successfully conceptualized and launched the university 1st Research Strategic Plan, establishing a long-term roadmap for high-value research. Furthermore, he engineered and deployed a centralized research portal, radically modernizing institutional data management, streamlining technology transfer, and enhancing cross-departmental collaboration.
At Grand Asian University Sialkot, Dr Rehman leverages this extensive background to position the region as a growing hub for industry-academia partnerships, student venture incubation, and commercialized research.
